Reference 3 system-wide calibration (Mac and Windows)

This video tutorial will show you how to use the Sonarworks Reference 3 plug-in system-wide on your computer. This way you can listen to your favourite music with calibrated sound on all applications, enabling accurate sound outside of your digital audio workstation. Running Reference 3 system wide will also reduce the chance of you bouncing the mix with calibration enabled.

It’s a valid option, if you can get it to work. We encountered some problems and thus looked for alternatives.

Hi Guys, Question. I am forced to back down my audio interface sample rate to 44.1kHz instead of 48 while using VBACable. Do I need to recalibrate Reference 3 now? Thanks for any info!

Nevermind that previous question! I found where to set the sample rate for the VAC and now i’m at 48kHz sr. Thanks

Nah, should be okay with all sample rates, as they don’t really impact the frequency response.

Hi. Just yesterday I tried to use practically the same pathway with Audio HiJack. It was not so convenient for my purpose, but it worked anyway.

I was having a lot of click/pops with Pedalboard2 no matter what buffer size I used on my Mac (2012 Mini, 10.10.5). As an alternative I tried Hosting AU and it seems to be working great.
    Just an FYI.
