Term: Equilateral Triangle Method

Equilateral triangles have three sides of equal length and an angle of 60˚ at each corner. Studio acoustics suggest a symmetrical listening setup that positions the left speaker, right speaker, and the listening position at each corner of an equilateral triangle. The optimal listening position is just inside one corner while the face of each speaker is at the other two corners.
