Frequently asked questions

How does it work?

Speaker calibration profiles are exported from the SoundID Reference app, and imported to run directly on the Grace Design m908 device DSP using the Grace Design WebUI software. Learn how to set it up here in the Exporting a calibration profile for Grace Design m908 article.

Once the profile is up and running on the device, the Sound Reference app/plugin is no longer needed. You’ll only need to return to the SoundID Reference software to remeasure your speakers, or to export new profiles.

Which devices are supported?

The integration is supported on Grace Design m908 only.

What are the system requirements?

The integration has been released with the SoundID Reference v5.12.1.14 (download latest update), here are the system requirements:

macOS 11 Big Sur, 12 Monterey, 13 Ventura, 14 Sonoma, 15 Sequoia

Windows 10 (64-bit), 11

Additionally, access to the Grace Design WebUI software is needed to import the profile. Follow the instructions here: Exporting a calibration profile for Grace Design m908

What kind of profiles can be exported?

The integration supports speaker profile export, and the availability depends on your SoundID Reference license:

→ SoundID Reference for Speakers and Headphones: export speaker profiles (stereo)
→ SoundID Reference for Multichannel: export speaker profiles (stereo/multichannel)

Note: Headphone profile export is not supported.

Do I have to buy something?

A permanent SoundID Reference license is required to access the export feature (profile export is not available with trial licenses). See our pricing.

There are no additional Add-on licenses required.

Can I try before I buy?

Yes, a fully featured free trial SoundID Reference is available in your Sonarworks Account. No credit card required, no hidden conditions.
